Summerizing Your Pool
Pool openings in New England are as much an art as it is a science. Depending on the state of your pool, Sweetwater will take the approach to get your pool running and clear as quickly as possible. We offer Full and Partial Summerizings and Pool Openings.
Full Summerizing
1st Visit — Pool Opening
- Remove the pool cover, fold.
- Check all equipment for proper operation and start system. Diagnose heater if necessary.
- Shock pool. Return for second visit if bottom if not visible.
2nd Visit
- Vacuum pool with our portable system. Brush down walls, floor and tile.
- Replace all accessories such as ladders, rails, automatic pool cleaners, return fittings.
- Perform analysis on water for chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, total dissolved solids, & phosphates. Balance water with appropriate chemicals.
Partial Summerizing
- Option 1: If you plan to remove your own cover, you can deduct $50 for a safety cover or $100 for a solid cover.
- Option 2: If you remove all water from the top of a solid cover, you can deduct $50.
- Option 3: If you plan to vacuum your own pool, you can deduct $50.
Special Summerizing
- Technologies such as salt water generation and ionization can require several visits to adjust water chemistry before system is running without follow up visits. Call the office for details on these pool opening options.
